'05 Chevrolet Colorado

The 2005 Chevrolet Colorado is the second model year of the Colorado since it was first released in the year 2004. As a medium-performance pickup truck, the Colorado is a compact vehicle that strives to provide a moderate bit of everything – comfort, performance and handling.

The base model of the 2005 Colorado employs an I-4 engine generating up to 175 horsepower with a torque of 185lb-ft. An I-5 engine capable of delivering a higher horsepower of 220hp is also available.

The vehicle is available in both four-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive trims. With manual or automatic transmission and a multi-point injection of fuel, the 2005 Colorado delivers a highly commendable 27mpg on the highway and an impressive 21mpg on urban roads.

The 2005 Chevrolet Colorado offers two options for the cab size. The regular cab is a three-seater while the extended version is a five-seater, increasing the options that consumers can select from. Multiple airbags and an anti-lock braking system are available safety features.

'07 Chevrolet Colorado

The 2007 Chevrolet Colorado is a distinct upgrade from its predecessors not only in terms of power and performance, but also regarding its appearance. The 2007 version of the pickup truck has an enhanced engine and updates in its external appearance, including chrome door handles and the wheels.

The '07 Chevrolet Colorado incorporates a new I-4 engine having a capacity of 2.9 liters and revving up an improved 185 horsepower – 10 horsepower more than the 2005 and 2006 I-4 engines.

The optional I-5 engine is enhanced to a 3.7-liter powerhouse generating a massive 242 horsepower – 22hp over the 2006 make. Automatic transmission is available in both the models, while manual transmission is an option for the I-4 engine.

The 2007 Chevrolet Colorado rightly earns the reputation for being a reliable and safe vehicle. The handling of the vehicle is moderate to good on every terrain and the car scores well in crash tests.


'06 Chevrolet Colorado

Buyers looking for extra power can simply opt for the 220 horsepower I-5 engine that is an available option. Both manual and automatic transmissions are available with these engines.

With both extended and regular Crew Cab sizes, the 2006 Chevrolet Colorado can accomodate up to three adults in the front row bench seat . The 2006 model also introduces a new CD and AM/FM entertainment systems and an optional sunroof.
